"...weaving information, history, insight, hands on activity, and song truly engaged our children which will inevitably spark future stewards of the land. We look forward to many more collaborative experiences with Seed Song Farm!"
-Holly Heppner, teacher and volunteer at the AJ Williams Library, Kingston NY
Seed Song Farm & Center offers engaging, hands-on experiences which educate participants about their unique piece of the earth and its bounty, while inspiring positive relationships between people and their land and food.
Our program staff includes longtime educators, farmers, and camp counsellors who are able to make learning exciting for all ages.
Choose from the fall weekend activities listed, plus others such as interpreted visits to our Native American Cultural Area & Plantings*, developed in collaboration with Neetopk Keetopk (group of local Native Americans and allies that educates the public about traditional wisdom and lifeways as solutions to contemporary problems), Association of Native Americans, and Center for Algonquin Culture.
Our beautiful farm on 215-acres of fields and woods at the edge of the Catskills along Esopus Creek are conveniently located at 160 Esopus Avenue, Kingston NY. We are accessible by public transportation and bicycle, and just off the NYS Thruway, Route 9W, and Route 209.
* Indigenous Cultural Programs in partnership with Neetopk Keetopk, ANA, and Center for Algonquin Culture are available through Thanksgiving.
Other program themes include Maple Sugaring (February and March), Farm Planting & Animal Care (April through June, and September), and a variety of one-week Summer Camps (June through September)
