Seed Song Farm & Center had a tremendously successful farm season during 2020.  As an essential business, the community supported us and we supported the community through a farm camp, a CSA share program that included 38 low-income families, a chemical-free seedling sale, a new farm stand, and fall fun pumpkin weekends.  Your contribution will make an impact, whether you donate $5 or $5000. Every little bit helps.

It is through your contribution that we plan to:

-Expand community access to our land through year round programming and a diversified u-pick operation.
-Continue to offer sliding scale pricing through our CSA and education program so there’s a seat at the table for everyone.
-Expand and empower our community volunteers, education program and farming operation through the investment in a management team to support our director, farm crew and camp counselors. We believe investing in people is community farming.
-To have the financial means to continue pivoting and reimagine our offerings to meet the needs of our community during these unprecedented times as we have shown through the hard and intelligent work of our team and generosity of our extended farm family.
Thank you for your support!

Dear Seed Song Farm Community,
Amidst the holiday season, I want to thank you for being a part of the Seed Song Farm & Center community and ask for your support. It is through your generosity as part of our extended farm family that Seed Song continues to grow into our mission of rekindling reverence for the land through healthy farm food and experiences for ALL.  As you consider the many worthy organizations for your year-end giving, we would greatly appreciate being included as one of your choices. Today we are launching our first ever year-end crowdsourced fundraiser-- we have big plans for the coming 2021 season and could use your help in making those dreams a reality through your generous contributions. Please consider contributing today. (Link)

For Seed Song Farm & Center, 2020 has been a story of both challenge and success. Our team and community have worked all year to successfully pivot each of our programs to grow, to better serve the community during the pandemic, and to offer increased access to the farm and center, especially for low-income and hard-hit neighbors. Through these hard times we successfully provided the following:
  • We grew our CSA community and greatly increased the number of free shares to neighbors in need through our Farm Feed Your Neighbor program;
  • We expanded our youth education program, in response to the uncertainty of school schedules, to serve parents and youth every weekday this fall, with free or discounted access as needed.
  • We opened a beautiful farm store with curbside pickup option as a safe outlet to shop for local grocery essentials and our chemical free produce.
  • We opened our beautiful and historic 215- acre agroecological farm property, to more visits by the public than ever before-- for birdwatching, pumpkin and flower picking, farm animal visits, hayrides, live music, and other fun and educational activities including a popcorn maze with an essential message for our times.
Looked at in the context of our short 5 year history on this land, there is clearly something unique and capable about our spirited team and community that has allowed us, even amid hard times, to grow ever deeper into our more-urgent-than-ever mission.
Our 2021 goals are targeted to address the deep needs of our community that we witnessed during the pandemic this year: greater public participation in a vibrant community-scale sustainable agriculture, including expanding opportunities for u-pick experiences; Safe, socially-distant ways to walk and explore the outdoors; programs to learn from our collaborating groups of indigenous people and allies the wisdom of traditional Native American agriculture and lifeways; to help feed and support our neighbors in need; to come together musically, artistically and safely to continue past cultural traditions based on gratitude for the land and it's bounty, and to evolve those traditions in joyful community.
We are excited to share more about these goals and plans for the future, as well as our accomplishments this season, throughout our month-long fundraiser through the end of 2020. Our farm and center have kept afloat financially through the hard and intelligent work of our team, the diversity of our income streams, the responsiveness to the needs of our community, the urgency of our mission... but we could never have achieved the high level of community work as well as longterm infrastructure development, nor have the capital to develop it further, without the generosity of an extended farm family. Please think of us, and consider making a contribution right now.

In Beloved Regeneration,
Creek
